Confirmed by Pfizer: We are still in discussions with Kosovo on vaccine supply

The Ministry of Health in Kosovo, early in January, has announced that it has received confirmation from the American company Pfizer for the security of 535,000 vaccines against corruption.
On February 19th, the Health Ministry has not announced any precise date when Pfizer vaccines can reach Kosovo. B ONTech and AstraZeneca, although incumbent Health Minister Armendi Zemaj, had warned that their arrival could be expected in February.
AstraZenecsa and Oxford vs. Coronavirus, Kosovo is expected to receive it for free through the World Health Organisation programme, COVAX, which aims to distribute vaccines to poor countries.
Kosovo expects to receive about 100800 doses of this vaccine from COVAX.
Coalition for Epidemiic Preparation Innovations (CEPI), Alliance for Vacina (GAVI), and World Health Organisation (OBSH) as co-chairers of the international programme COVAX has announced it plans to launch its first shipment in March. But several shipments will take place at the end of February, to countries that have met the criteria.
Unlike Kosovo, in some countries in the region, the vaccine process has already begun against COVID 19.
In Albania, the vaccine started on January 11th with vaccine doses from the American pharmaceutical company Pfizer. On February 16th, Albania also received 7,020 doses of Pfizer.
In Northern Macedonia, on Wednesday 17 February has launched vaccine against COVID-19 of health workers, with vaccines donated by the Government of Serbia.
Serbia, meanwhile, has vaccinated over a million people. This state at the end of December has initiated vaccination of its population against the Coronavirus, using Pfizer companies' vaccine. BioNTech, and then Russian vaccine Sputnik V and Chinese, SinoPharm.
On Friday, this country announced a new deal with Pfizer company through which it will be supplied with over two million doses of the vaccine.
On Wednesday, January 17th in Montenegro has arrived the first contingent with vaccines against corruption, which are a gift from Serbia.
In late December, Serbia distributed vaccines in northern Kosovo, where majority Serb populations live.
