COMMF appeals: Keep the Children out of Election Activity

The KMF appeals to political subjects who are part of the national election election campaign so they don't exploit children under the election campaign. According to the KOMF, the inclusion of children in electoral campaigns by political subjects constitutes violations of their rights, exploitation, and at the same time is no longer in [...] interest.
According to the KOMF, the inclusion of children in electoral campaigns by political subjects constitutes violations of their rights, exploitation, and at the same time is not in the child's best interest.
Moreover, the involvement of children in election campaign activities during this period poses a direct risk to their health as well because of the pandemic-related situation. The KOMF suggests that the inclusion of children in election campaigns is contrary to legislation in effect. The KOMF calls on the Central Election Commission to monitor the activities of political subjects and to take measures based on legislation in force, in cases where children's involvement and exploitation are found. KOMF urges parents not to politicise children, to take children into activities that are organised by political parties and to awareness of children not to interrupt the teaching process for the purposes of participating in political parties' activities during the electoral campaign”, the communique says.
KOMF calls on the media, which cover the election campaign, to take an active role in publishing cases where children are exploited for party purposes during the election campaign, always defending the child's identity and integrity.
