Yasar, via Facebook, has said that this request has come a day before the election, while considering it undemocratic.
On the other hand, he has asked the CEC to take concrete steps to prevent abuses during the elections.
The presence of cameras in the classroom records any irregularities that may occur during the voting or counting process and thus has nothing to do with privacy violations because in the voting booth where the citizen votes there are no cameras and so the vote is hidden”, Jashar has estimated.

Dear citizens,
In the function of consolidating liberal democracy in our state and in particular in the municipality that I lead, to have a free and democratic process in this pre-term parliamentary election, to preserve the sacred citizen vote and the credibility of these elections, I have met the directors of Sculeraj Schools, of which I have demanded that classroom cameras continue to be functional on the day of the vote, as in any other day of training.
This will serve to preserve the vote and regular democratic vote, preventing any attempts to distort civic will.
Today, during the day, I have been monitored by school directors who have received calls (as they have said by the KKZ) from persons who have asked to stop cameras at locations tomorrow.
Furthermore, the Central Election Commission, through official Nedmedin Hyseni, has sent an e-mail to the KKZ-Skenderaj through which he ordered an e-mail. The KKZ to shut down the cameras in the polls, with the pretext that “this action is illegal in violating the freedoms and rights of voters”.
Such a letter sent one day before the elections, only for our municipality, is unacceptable and against democracy that we intend to build.
If the presence of cameras at the site (clas) during the vote is a violation then why these cameras are located and operating in almost every school in Kosovo and are functional during the learning process.
The presence of cameras in the classroom records any irregularities that could occur during the voting or counting process and thus has nothing to do with privacy violations because in the voting booth where the citizen votes there are no cameras and so voting is hidden.
For this created situation, I ask the CEC to take concrete steps, the framework legislation in force by condemning and eliminating any misappropriation of the official position.
Despite individual actions that take place for specific political purposes, all of us have the obligation to protect the normal democracy and functioning of our state built with many sacrifices.
