Today there is the World Against Cancer Day.
According to the World Health Organization (OBSH), each year millions die from cancer, most in low and medium income countries.
Even in Kosovo, it is not a better situation.
Oncology Clinic and the Association of Kosovo Oncologists (SHOK) organise activity today with the case of World Cancer Day, February 4th!
The theme will be “Maligned diseases, the challenges of managing them in our country and the world, with focus during pandemic”.
While, through the enterprise of steps to implement WHO's new guidance, health care planners can improve early diagnosis of cancer and ensure immediate treatment, especially for breast cancers, cervicx and co-recural cancer. This will result in more people surviving cancer.
All countries can take steps to improve early diagnosis of cancer, according to WHO's new Guide for early diagnosis of cancer are:
Uh improving public awareness of the symptoms of various cancers and encouraging people to seek care when those symptoms appear,
·investment in empowering and providing health services and training of health professionals so that they can conduct precise and timely diagnosis,
·make sure that people who live with cancer can approach safe and effective treatment, including pain softening, without experiencing physical or financial restraint.
