In October, local elections will be held and this is an important test for LDK.
Former President Faton Bislimi tells of Balkan Talks the approach the LDK will pursue in this election.
The next “are local elections, which are in October and we are in a process of finding a new leader to reassemble the LDK. This will be the indicator that will give us hope if it is restored during the elections or will be on the spiral of”, says Faton Bislimi.
According to Bislim, if the changes were made after local elections in Podujevo, the LDK wouldn't be in the situation today.
Our 13000 loyal electors must be respected. Though he did not like leadership, they have been loyal. If we were to make changes after Podujevo, we wouldn't have this score”, Bislim is further expressed.
According to him, the way out of this situation is a new thought to serve citizens.
We will manage to get out of this situation and we are willing to take the responsibilities that each belongs to our citizens. We are at a historic moment; to draw a new thought, which needs Kosovo citizens and to get out of politics, which has not served citizens and Kosovo. We have to set an example for any party that we can re-renew”, tell Bislim at Euronews Albania.
The LDK politician says the new leader will be deerminant for LDK's performance and he must have some qualities to adapt to the party he will lead.
There are some names that will run, but it won't be mentioned in proper names. The new leader must be the one who has the ability to shake every member's hand at the LDK and have the hope of being re-established with vision, patience and courage”, Bislim concludes.
