US President Joseph Biden sent a letter of congratulations to the president of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vuciq, on the occasion of Serbia's State Day. In this letter, Biden also called for the achievement of a comprehensive Kosovo-Serbia agreement, which will focus on mutual recognition.

Beden in his letter particularly stressed US support “for reaching a comprehensive agreement on normalising relations between Kosovo and Serbia, which focuses on mutual recognition”.
In his letter US president has also confirmed US support for Serbia's European integration
“We remain steadfast in supporting Serbia's goal for European integration and encourage you to keep making difficult steps towards that goal, including the introduction of necessary reforms,” said the US president
The scope of our relations is based on the profound history of ties between our peoples who fought as allies in both world wars and we appreciate the great contribution that Serbs have given to American society in many areas. We also appreciate our close co-operation by fighting the Devid-19 pandemic, while together we face this unprecedented global challenge.
