Former Finance Minister Hykmete Bajrami has been declared regarding the theft of 2.1m euros from the State Treasury.
She in a Facebook post wrote that the Treasury theft marks the first case in Kosovo and that two suspected persons are in prison.
“All financial means have been tracked, most of them blocked and once the judicial process is carried out those means will return to the budget. The organs of justice will not fail in this case because everything is known. I believe the prosecution will emerge as soon as possible with additional clarifications and more detailed information about this case”, writes Bajrami, who was released today from the position of the finance minister, at her request for personal reasons.
Otherwise, in October last year, within hours, 2 million and 77 thousand euros have disappeared from the State Treasury. The first suspicions are that theft is carried out through the electronic system for Financial Management and Control (SMFK). Two people have been arrested in connection with the case.

I have denounced the case today. I demand that all thieves receive capital penalties.
