IndexisOnline's sources close to the investigation have said Statovci has accepted different amounts of money from different people so that they can access the profiteer list for subsidies.
Investigators in this case have implemented secret technical monitoring measures. In evidence provided by police, the suspect is in some cases seen, accepting money and sharing it with other AZHB officials in his office.
On one occasion, Statovci is heard to have a total of 600,000 euros in possession and plans to buy a flat worth between 200,000 and 300,000 euros.
“Lan Statovci, exploiting his official position of the director of the direct payment department at the Agriculture Development Agency, has acted illegally for material gain for himself or other persons, namely, has accepted various amounts of money from different people so that they can access the profiters' list for subsidies”, the sources of IndexOnn near the investigation have said.
These facts are confirmed by evidence provided during the application of the secret investigation measures, where he is in some cases seen accepting money and sharing it with colleagues already behind bars.
Pristina's prosecution has demanded the detention measure for Statovci and the 10 persons arrested for misuse of official duty, bribery, bribery.
The prosecution claims that suspects Luan Statovci, Sadat Shkodra, Salih Statovci, Berat Nika, Hasan Majaray, Zogaj, Adushe Ukshi, Driton Alaj, Pajtim Krasniqi, Speed Krasniqi and Castriote Bajrami-Sjdiu, acting in opposition to official duty have demanded or accepted bribes from different persons, mainly from farmers, so that they can access to the list for profitors of subsidies.
Operation “Subvention 2020” so far has put 20 suspects, 11 on the first day of action and nine more during yesterday.
During the raids, about 433,160 euros, 600 dollars, 200 francs, 275 Turkish liras, 15 phones, 8 cars, one computer, five weapons, a USB and a stamp.
Investigations are still continuing and depending on their course may again be arrested.
