Dr. Fauci, often at odds with former President Trump over the mode of management of pandemic, received the Dan David Award for “the protection of science”.
He was also praised for the avocation of Covid's vaccines, and for his leadership research on HIV/Aides, writes the BBC, translates Periscopi.
Dr. Fauci, 80, has already advised seven American presidents.
