Ramadani has shown the historic and political importance of Adem Demac during the time of Yugoslavia, who had been sent to prison for nearly three decades.

He says this significance was in the fact that he was formed as a synthesis uniting two separate currents of Kosovo's Albanian thought: nationalism and communism, Periscope follows.

This is why Yugoslavia and Serbia were terrified by one man, but with steel will. They tried to destroy Demach politically, isolating him in narrow, cold, dark cells for three decades. But their attempt failed. Ramadan.

Adem Demach was born on February 26, 1936, in Podujevo as he died on July 26, 2018, in Pristina.

Mr. Ramadan:

Adem Demach's contribution to, first the resistance, and then the organisation of the armed struggle for liberation is enorm. For the fall of February, after 1945 in Kosovo there were two ideological blocks: Nationalists on one side and the Yugoslav partisans on the other.

Albanian partisans aiming to sync communism with nationalism were in existence. Exactly in this vacuum the importance of Demach's work. Even though he was not a major thinker or a prominent political strategist, practically through Demach in Kosovo was formed the synthesis uniting two currents of thought: nationalism and communism, which initially became the ideological axis of illegality, The LPK, and then the KLA war.

That's why Yugoslavia and Serbia were terrified by one man, but with steel will. They tried to destroy Demach politically, isolating him in narrow, cold, dark cells for three decades. But their efforts failed.

They tried to kill his soul by imprisoning his body, but without success. Demac did not come out more moderate and constructive for Serbia. He remained forever her enemy. His vigorous energy was never exhausted, and it made it the most vivid symbol of the center, indestructible and sacrifice.

By no means, Demach had said: “we're all in prison. Personally I'm in a small prison, collectively we're together in a big prison”, as metaphor for Kosovo occupied by Serbia. So, as we can see, prison never succeeded in suppressing the elan and the will to be one of the most important figures in Kosovo's history.
