The American Embassy in Kosovo has written after holding elections in Kosovo, in which the first Vetevendosje Movement emerged.
In a post published on Twitter, the American Embassy says it will work with the new Government once it is formed.
“congratulates the citizens of Kosovo, who witnessed commitment to democracy and vision of the future. America stands by Kosovo and is eager to work with the new Government once it is formed, in joint goals of peace, justice and prosperity”, it says in the embassy's post.
According to the result of the 99.25 per cent count of regular votes, Vetevendosje Movement is leading by 47.89 per cent, marking the deepest victory of a party ever in postwar Kosovo.
The second has emerged the Democratic Party of Kosovo with 17.3 per cent, while the third Democratic League of Kosovo has emerged with 13.08 per cent.
