Kurti has expressed great regret over his beating and has said the attack on Rashi's son is due to failure to yield to Serbia's threats, writes Periscope.

On the other hand, Kurti has stressed that his incoming government will work to ensure that citizens indiscriminately live safely.

Kurt's full response:

With great regret we received news that today in Gracanica, 18-year-old boy Nikola Rassic was brutally beaten with cold weapons. Nikola is the son of Nenad Rashiqi, the prominent Serb Democrat politician in Kosovo.

It seems that this gangster crime against Nicolaus Rashiki is organised and has to do with his parent, who was neither broken nor subjected to pressure from Serbia. Likely, since Nenad Rashimh could not be intimidated, his son Nicola was beaten.

In our new government we will work so that all citizens of Kosovo, regardless of national affiliation, will live safely.

I ask that law enforcement agencies urgently clear this case and criminals respond to justice, and I wish Nicholas a full and quick recovery.
