Albin Kurti in 2008: Kosovo flag has passed, I would never wave

Kurti in July 2008 on a television in Albania had said that Kosovo's flag has the colors of the Bosnian flag, and blue makes it the water flag rather than the Albanian.

“A flag full of history and a flag that doesn't have any past kurfar. Interestingly, the Kosovo flag was first seen at the time it was adopted in the Kosovo Assembly on February 17th when independence was declared. It's a flag that has the colors of the Bosnian flag, a flag that resembles the flag of Cyprus has a map in the middle, which works as a kind of psychological compensation that citizens really think is what it is, but the reality on the field is different, the north and other parts remain separate, and there's a flag that is not only different but contrary to the Albanian flag in the sense that it is a blood flag, and this is a water and katra flag and, as our people say, water is not. The other is that these stars are white and in this way they look like stars meant as dark stars and that this flag is not interdependent by the people in Kosovo, because the Albanian flag is related to the history of shared suffering with uprisings, wars and, as such, dominates around”, the winner of Sunday's elections in Kosovo had said.

He further said the Kosovo flag is the flag of contests and no history.

“This is a banner made with competition so it's not a flag which is the result of a common bloodbath, but it's a bureaucratic, conjucture”, he had said, adding that he would never shake it.
