On February 22, 1732 in Westmoreland, Virginia, George Washington was born, the dominant figure in the history of the United States of America (SHBA).
He received his first lessons from private teachers and parents, who had a plantation in the Virginia colony. Although he did not attend any college, he was a master mathematician and an eloquent speaker. He spent most of his youth with the brothers on the plantation, where he learned the work of farmer and geometry. From an early age, he joined Virginia's army. With lieutenant rank, he was regarded as a brave officer in the border fighting with the hostile tribes of American Indians and their French allies.
In 1777, when the war for independence from England was expected, the Congress appointed George Washington chief commander of the newly established Continental Army. After the American victory, he returned to his beloved farm at the Vernon Mount of Virginia and began to cultivate tobacco.
