In an interview for Kp, Presevo Mayor Shqirim Arifi says the vaccine has begun massively since January this year, and that, for more, this municipality owns four major types of them found on the market.
“Citizens are able to select which (vaxi) they want. And so far we have vaccinated 2300 citizens in the Presevo municipality. The same applies to the Bujanoc municipality but also to Medvedja. At the moment, the vaccine is going well, so am I. And I did that because there was a political Albanian leader here, who expressed scepticism and caused panic in Presevo municipality after second inoculation. That's why we've published it in the” vaccine, he claims.
The list is long for citizens who have sought vaccination, even though Arifi says his political opponents have wanted to influence citizens.
The opposition's subjective pressure here never stops because more is built on interests than on principles. But the important thing is that citizens are interested in vaccinating and returning to normal life again”, Arifi adds to Kosovas.
The first of the Presevo Valley notes that expectations are not long for inoculation. As he shows, one to two weeks are expected for vaculation with that of China, while for Pfizer vaccine expectations are longer.
On the other hand, he stresses that the situation in this municipality is no longer alarming, therefore stressing that the measures are being respected.
In a few days it's five to 10 (infected), day-day is below five. By the end of 2020, the situation is noticeably easier. Yet, every infected person is in danger of life. The measures we have at our disposal, life is limited, social distance that should be maintained at work, but also at locations. The number that is limited to places and public places is constantly masking and hygiene”, he adds.
Presevo Albanians living in Kosovo can get the vaccine if they are equipped with relevant documentation, but Kosovars who are not registered in this municipality cannot take it. The Presevo municipality is among the first Albanian settlements to have first vaccines against Corona virus, following Serb-run areas in Kosovo.
