He was asked if there are any criminal groups in northern Kosovo. The Witness confirmed, but he did not show further, reasoning that he does not know who is running those criminal groups. He refused to talk about the names of criminal group leaders for security reasons.
The Witness said he knew Oliver Ivanoviqi for 30 years and that they were friends. He says that after Ivanovic's release from custody, they were seen from time to time. He also said Ivanovi knew he was in danger and that he had reported to competent authorities in Belgrade and Pristina, the portal KoSSev writes.
At the time of Ivanovic's murder, he said he was at work in the southern part of Mitrovica.
He said Oliver was a great and strong man who had a lot of information, but he was “closed” and he didn't talk much about his safety.
Oliver Ivanovic was killed on 16 January 2018, in front of his party headquarters in Mitrovica. Marko Rossic, Nedelky Spasojevicq, Dragisa Markovik, Zarko Jovanovic, Silvana Arsovic and Rade Basara are accused of participating in a organised criminal group linked to Ivanovic's murder.
