The United Education, Science and Culture Union of Kosovo (SBASHK) has asked Prime Minister Albin Kurti a question. “Why”. In a public letter bearing the firm of SBASK Chairman Nundman Jasaw, it is said that the European Education Unions Committee (ETUCE) and the European Union of Public Services Unions (EPSU) have written him expressing disappointment with claims of unions, while Kurti has not responded.
According to the SBASK communiqué, the chairman of the ETUCE Larry Flanagan, European Director of ETUCE Susan Flocken and EPSU Secretary General Jan Willem Godriaan have expressed their disappointment at Kurti's statements by sending a letter to European Union for Labour and Social Justice Commissioner Nicolas Schmitt that he freezes this issue and take concrete steps.
“honoured Prime Minister Kurti received information from the European Education Unions Committee (ETUCE) and from the European Union of Public Services Union (EPSU) that you have responded to their letter that sent you on December 9th 2021. We were sorry when we realized that they were indignant and very unhappy with what you have told them and therefore, seeing that you continue to have the wrong approach for trade unions and tried to influence the choice of leadership in the SBASK and the Federation of Health Union, the chairman of the ETUCE Larry Flanagan, European Director of ETUCE Susan Flocken and EPU Secretary General Janem Goudani have expressed their disappointment by sending the letter to European Union for Social Justice and Justice Commissioner Nicholas, that he raises this concrete steps based on the competencies that he has on the Commission says.
There, the prime minister is told that your <x0) approach to unions and the tendency to influence who should or who does not lead them is wrong”, while adding that the head of government had wrong and unreasonable estimates.
Honored Prime Minister Kurti is reminding you once again that your approach to unions and your tendency to influence who should or should not lead them is wrong. You don't stand up for your assessment, and you don't have a single argument for that when you've written down to gentlemen Flanagan and Gourdiaan and Mrs. Floken said your statements of changes in union management should in no way be perceived as a threat to the independence of those unions. You have also written that the latter can and should always choose their guidance in free, honest, and transparent choices. But that current union leaders do not reflect the true democratic will of their members, rather, they were installed by the corrupt, neoliberal governments of the past”, writes Nundman Jasharaj in the name of the SBASK.
Furthermore, Kurt has been explained to the election process within the SBASK, while announcing that the upcoming elections there are held in April of the new year.
The next <x0).
“Prime Minister Kurti will leave it to the will of membership and through delegates elected by them to decide for the new SBASK chairman because this will cannot be changed and denied, so neither can you be Prime Minister, or anyone else from Kosovo institutions. ”
Kurti is also required to communicate with the international “so that we do not declare and write things that do not remain and for which we have no argument. ”
