A tragic accident occurred on November 23rd, about 3rd after midnight in Bulgaria, 45 people remained dead after a bus returning from Turkey to northern Macedonia was engulfed in flames.
According to media reports, among the victims were 12 children, five of them minors.
There are 53 people on the bus. The accident occurred on Struma Highway about 45 km west of Sofia.
The State Prosecutor in Bulgaria has confirmed that until the accident, it has resulted from an explosion, but that it is not yet known what has caused it.
The “task is getting more clear every hour it passes. Teams are questioning victims in Pirogov, two of them able to explain, others are in shock or intensive care, even without risk to life. Eyewitnesses at the scene were also questioned at a deputy state prosecutor, Borislav Sarafov.
According to initial information, the bus has burst its front tire right and then crashed into the railing and dragged on. At that moment, fuel has been poured out related to heating on the bus, after the fire hit. That was on the front of the bus.
The driver's life was also lost in the accident. 7 persons -- 2 women and 5 men -- have been rescued and placed at the “Pirogov” hospital.
We remember that among the victims, most of them reported to be Albanians.
