Tower Expert: Serbia's EU hostage reporting with Balkan enlargement

Security expert in Albania Ilir Tower declared that Albania is not at risk from Russian influence, as he has said there is no cultural connection with Russia, meanwhile, Albanians have a completely different ethno-cultural background from the Russians. Tower declared in an interview for the analytical portal “The Geopost”, that Albania is the most impossible place for the Russians to feel at home.

“We don't have xenophobia, just incompatibility”, he has said as he added that the Russian influence in the Balkans is inconsistent and unsistent.

As for the process of integrating Western Balkan states into the European Union, Tower estimates that “West is wrong when it leaves other Western Balkan countries pending because of Serbia's double game. ”

The Tower has criticised the European Union's enlargement strategy, which according to it has remained hostage to the EU's approach in relation to Serbia.

The question is that Europe has almost entirely banned enlargement in the Balkans and Balkan countries have lost perspective. According to Tower, this situation can be dangerous because it can be exploited by other acts, since it has said that blocking the process of enlargement in the Balkans endangers all other countries, which in the long-standing economic crisis may look elsewhere.

As for Russia's use of various media in the countries of the region, with the aim of spreading propaganda, false news and disinformation with particular emphasis in Serbia, Montenegro and some Serbian media in Kosovo, the Tower declared that there is information among them and disinformation, as there are propaganda.
