Medical surgeons, along with anesthesiologists and the rest of the operating team, have operated a 76-year-old patient in the internal carotid artery (artery that feeds the brain with blood). The artery was spiraled into the brain and narrowed to its origin.
Diseases manifested in the carotid artery are rare, with great risk of causing brain attack.
After the surgery, controlling tests have been conducted, where surgery has been found to have been performed with full success and the patient after 3 days of hospitalisation has been released for good health.
