Bilal Karim, deputy spokeswoman of the Taliban government in Afghanistan, said the Independent Election Commission and the Election Commission for Anxiety on the basis of the Taliban Government's decision were disbanded.
According to Karim, these two commissions are currently unnecessary in the country and added that if necessary, they will again be tasked with future jobs.
Both commissions had the mandate to manage and monitor all election forms in the country, including presidential, parliamentary and provincial ones.
Besides the commissions, the Taliban Government closed down two ministries. On the other hand, the international community is still considering the decision about possible recognition of the Taliban's power. The West fears that Taliban could establish brutal rule in Afghanistan what they had 20 years ago, though so far the current Afghan government denied it.
