In a Facebook post, I The KSHPK points out that since the World Health Organization has warned the much more aggressive season of the 2021/2022 seasonal flu, the MS has provided seasonal flu doses in sufficient quantities for the epidemiological situation to be as good as possible.

Therefore, IKSCS recommends vaccinating each citizen with the seasonal flu vaccine as the best method for protection against severe forms of seasonal flu and death”.

The communication programme is seen as a successful process within Kosovo's public health field. The vaccine is one of the most cos-effective interventions, evidenced that it saves numerous lives from diseases, their consequences, and their deaths.

In order to reduce and eliminate the risk of presenting the flu epidemic as well as other preventive vaccines, one of the Government priorities of the Republic of Kosovo is the implementation of the expanded immunization programme, aimed at the involvement of all communities living on Kosovo territory.

The Ministry of Health has provided financial stability for the expanded communication programme (PZI), vaccines according to indicators, as well as those of international traffic. In collaboration with the Kosovo National Public Health Institute ( The IKKPK, as overseer of implementation of the communication programme as well as primary health care institutions as implementing institutions, has been provided with PSIA functionality, in general. The main goal is to include flu vaccines and all high risk people in the Republic of Kosovo to protect from seasonal flu viruses that can be prevented through vaccine (VPS), as well as to ensure the largest coverage by vaccine.

In addition to the immunization imposed on children of the appointed age group, the vaccine according to epidemiological indicators and international traffic has its importance in preventing the spread of different diseases not only within Kosovo's territory but also from one state to another.

As for immunization practices and vaccine management, they are quality and procedures are respected according to international standards. Seasonal flu vaccines are safe, effective and cost-effective. The unwanted passive effects are rare and are largely minor.

World Health Organization ( O BS) in 1994 established the so-called “Global Programmes for Vacines and Immmunification” (The Global Programme for Vaccina and Immunism) in which the sole purpose has defined “Bota in which all people at risk are protected from infectious vaccine-preventable diseases”. In recognition of the health threat posed by this disease, public health authorities in low and high income countries are giving increased priority to preventing and controlling flu.

The flu vaccine in Kosovo is offered annually before the flu season for high risk groups. Based on the analysis of the pre-immoration inclusion reports of the years, planning has been made to obtain the amount of vaccines of 140,000 doses during the 2021/22 season for the entire territory of the country.

Immunity is one of the areas of strategic importance for public health. The flu vaccine is the best method for preventing and controlling the flu. Seasonal flu vaccines have been available and used for over 60 years. The flu causes 3-5 million cases of serious form of disease, as well as up to 650,000 deaths per year on a global level. Lower respiratory infections are the leading cause of deaths in low income countries each year.

SAGE (Strategic Expert Guide Group on O The BSH recommends annual seasonal flu vaccines for five target groups: health workers, people over the age of 65, pregnant women and chronically ill people.

Seasonal flu vaccine has shown success in reducing the national, regional, and global health and economic burden from the seasonal flu.

Seasonal flu is acute respiratory infection caused by two species of flu (kinds A and ?, that circulates throughout the world marked by sudden beginnings of fever and cough. Other symptoms may include headaches, muscle pain, joint pain, throat pain, and nose leaks. In many cases, it is not clinically easy to distinguish seasonal flu from other respiratory infections that included COVID-19, where a diagnostic test is required for final diagnosis.

In this context, O The BSH has developed two standards for the limits of cases on national flu supervision: flu-like diseases (ILI) and severe acute respiratory infection (SARI).

O case definitions BSH for ILI is an acute respiratory infection with a moderate fever of 38 ° C, cough, beginning within the last ten days.

The definition of SARI case: acute respiratory infection with history or measured fever: 38 ° C, coughing, beginning in the last ten days, and seeking hospitalization.

The best way to prevent seasonal flu is accomplished through vaccines against seasonal flu once a year.

The characteristics of flu vaccines are:

safe and generally tolerated well;
key to reducing the health and economic burden of the flu;
They prevent sickness and death and reduce the transmission and severity of the disease;
Very rarely do serious side effects appear.
The seasonal flu can be deadly, so to protect against Grip, the annual vaccination of target groups (health workers, pregnant women, chronically ill children, older people and chronically ill ones) is recommended.
Inoculation reduces the need for antiviral treatment, which can lose effectiveness when described many (because of resistance to drugs).
The vaccine against seasonal flu reduces the cost of spending on the health system.
The programme of seasonal flu vaccine also helps prepare health systems for public health emergencies by building vaccine distribution systems on time.
Seasonal flu vaccine campaigns can be built, and are created with other ongoing immunization programmes, such as raising, health workers, and other groups targeted in the vaccine programme.
According to CDC's latest recommendations, vaccines against COVID-19 and seasonal flu vaccine can be administered at the same time. (https://www.cdc.gov/flu/seson/page-flu-sason-2021-2022.htm)

People with COVID-19 may be vaccinated with a seasonal flu vaccine after recovery

Seasonal flu vaccines target three or four species of flu viruses in circulation for the season.

O The BSH calls for the two-time-year vaccine compounding meeting to review the latest data on flu monitoring, predicts which strains of the virus are most likely to circulate during the next flu season, and recommends the composition of the trivalent and 4valent vaccine. The trivalent flu vaccine protects against two flu virus A and a B virus. The four-valent flu vaccine protects against two A flu viruses and two B flu viruses. Both species can be obtained by using weakened viruses (smoothed raw vaccines) or by using a protein or parts of the deceased virus (screwed vaccines). Dead vaccines are recommended for pregnant women, elderly people and people with compromised immunity. The weakened flu vaccines can be used as a nazal spray and can cause higher protections as well as long - term immune responses to populations mainly in children over two years of age and with lower efficiency among teenagers and adults. More commonly used by flu vaccines licensed for use are dead vaccines, even though live vaccines are available, (recompensed for children in Germany and the United Kingdom)

The flu vaccines are usually not sustainable to heat and freeze so they require storage of the cold chain +2 to +8 C from the moment they are managed.

These vaccines are considered globally safe and are well tolerated, with few serious side effects or complications.

The common side effects of seasonal flu inoculation include pain, frying and swelling in the place of injection, as well as systemic effects such as fever, headache, nause and muscle pain. These side effects are generally light and leave in a few days. Serious complications from anti-Verial flu vaccines are rare.

In particular, concerns about Guillain Barr (GBS) syndrome are not supported by recent research. Evidence shows that a person is more likely to receive GBS from the flu than from the vaccine. The efficiency of seasonal flu vaccines, however, varies according to one's age and immune status.

COVID-19 reinforcement dose and flu vaccine

Those who receive the strengthening dose of COVID-19 or even the first or second dose are also recommended to receive the seasonal flu vaccine. Since OBS has warned that the much more aggressive season flu area 2021/2022, the MS has provided seasonal flu doses in sufficient quantities for the epidemiological situation to be as good as possible.

Therefore, IKSCS recommends vaccinating each citizen with the seasonal flu vaccine as the best method for protection against severe forms of seasonal flu and death.
