Kosovo Government spokesman Progress Kryeziu, in an interview for Eyes 7 in Klan Kosova has declared that the final agreement with Serbia can be reached within the mandate of this government.
Kryeziu said this agreement must be concluded with mutual recognition and should benefit citizens.
There is a readiness on our part to participate in meetings, invitations from the mediator within this process. It's not something that depends on the Republic of Kosovo. However, Prime Minister Kurti has declared that a legally binding agreement could take place during his mandate, which coincides with the mandate of the president of the United States of America and with the mandate of the European Union administration”.
“We are willing to participate but always maintaining our principles in an agreement that should end with mutual recognition and an agreement that benefits citizens first of all”.
He stressed that past governments have shown inconsistent in the dialogue process with Serbia.
“We have seriously addressed the dialogue, saying necessary preparation is needed. It has never been enough to approach past governments where they have claimed a priority, but in the absence of preparation they have introduced a kind of inconsistencies to a subject which is still very important. And this government, starting with these premises, has built a clear approach and approach to dialogue, and it will follow through through the next years”.
The executive spokesman added that in a society that is multiethnic, there cannot be an ethnic Association.
The intensity of the negotiation process with Serbia is not determined solely by Kosovo. The topics that will be discussed during this process should have compliance with both sides. As for the Communist Association, in a society that has multiethnic character on its stake, and for which there is an interpretation of the Constitutional Court, there can be no association of an ethnic”.
