Specialists say their demands have run into total institutional neglect

Even today, Kosovo University Hospital Service specialists Sa SCUK) have protested before the Ministry of Health. They have protested after their request to be paid custody classes has been rejected by the Commission for Boards and Finance. Until they protested before the MS facility, they failed to meet with Health Minister Rifat Latifi, [...]
Arian Zaymi, chairman of the Council of Specialists, said their demands have run into deaf ears and institutional neglect.
The reason for the protest is because our demands have run into deaf ears and are ignored at the institutional level, this is within eight days this is the second protest we organise and will continue with protests until our demands are realised. We don't want to give politics to our protest we're new doctors and specialization we're troubled and we as new doctors work only in the public sector, not the private one, and therefore our support and survival depend on the salaries we get in the public sector. The truth is that we have no support from institutions, there is total institutional neglect during the two weeks we've had to meet with the Commission for Health, and we've been told that our demands are feasible, but it depends entirely on how much political will exists between the prime minister, finance and Health Minister“, he stressed.
A meeting that has taken place with Finance Minister Iron Murati by specialists is considered the most depressing and disappointing meeting.
We are told that there is no plan by the Ministry of Finance for our demands to be met, and we are told that if it is in our interest to leave this country, but despite the fact that the meeting has been disappointing, we are still motivated, and that's why we've come out with protest”, he stressed.
Amire Damolli, a specialist of Plastic Surgery, expressed concern that many of her colleagues who have held custody at COVID clinics have not been paid a cent.
In her view, they even have colleagues who, despite having held 120 stewards, have not been paid.
We keep around 120 hours of custody outside the regular hours we have between Monday and Friday that are 40 hours of work a week these 120 hours of stewards to me personally because I'm regular, I'm paid 79 cents per 120 hours of custody, and my colleagues who haven't been paid a zero-center, my colleagues who have held custody even at COVID clinics and are not paid, didn't get an extension or a salary “, she stressed.
Faithful Ibishi, specialist of feasibility and essential Radiology, has considered their demands. According to Ibis, the vaccine process has helped specialists, while they have not yet been paid for the extra hours they have contributed to the process.
The number of people we have vaccinated is thanks to specialists because all specialists have committed between 1 and 2 months during the vaccine process MSH actually committed us during the vaccine process and weekends we worked 7 days a week and despite a decision made by the MSH for additional hours has been nearly 3 months since this has not been realised, Ibishi stressed.
But, after this protest the specialists managed to meet in the corridor of the Health Ministry only with the minister's adviser, Rifat Latifi, after the latter was told there are meetings with several ambassadors.
Dion Musliu specialist at the Orthodox Clinic after this meeting said they expect the minister, Latifi, to hold meetings next week.
If the meeting does not take place, Musliu has warned other protests until their demands are met.
We were told to wait for us at a meeting next week and have to be warned they'll meet us as soon as we can. We have no choice but to warn more protests in the next week if we don't meet and unless they offer solutions. According to the minister's adviser, it is committed to finding solutions to our problem, but we cannot stop until this problem is solved on paper”, Musliu said.
Even last week, specialists from the entire public health sector have protested the demands that young doctors who are self-financed return to regular and all be paid custody especially during weekends.
