The academy for the construction of the Military Academy in Astreva has sparked debate in the Kosovo Assembly. This proposal of the Democratic Party of Kosovo has not received support from the majority, and for that, MP Ganimetie Musliu has declared that this proves who is defending the values of war.
Kosovo Parliament Speaker Glauk Konjufca has announced that this amendment has not received sufficient support for approval.
“With 12 votes for, with 54 votes against and 5 abstentions, the Parliament did not approve the amendment 42”, Konjufca said.
For that, Kosovo Democratic Party MP Ganimete Musliu, who said the prime minister would have to seek LVV's votes for the adoption of this amendment.
“I regret the amendment, which did not pass and had to do with building the KLA military academy in Asareva. I have expected that at least the prime minister would reflect on this session and ask the LVV deputies to pass because it was not a large amount that would undermine Kosovo's budget structure. Yet, here it is seen who truly works for the protection of the values of war and who opposes them”, Musliu has declared.
She voiced confidence that even the other amendments proposed by her will not be approved, since these are not getting support from the majority. Kosovo Assembly Speaker Glauk Konjufca has also reacted to this.
Various MPs such charges, I think, are excessive. That defending the values of war has been 22 years. Musliu: And I said we haven't done it in 22 years, so let's reflect that we have today when the pure war of the KLA is being judged there. So that the charge should be principled, not now”, they voiced during the amendment vote for the 2022 draft budget.
Construction of the Military Academy in Astareva was proposed, worth 210 thousand euros.
