“are slander”, KEK reacts to Moliqaj's claims about deliberate decay of two blocs

The Kosovo Energy Corporation (KEK) has warned legal action against PSD President Dardan Moliqaj, who today declared that the fall of the A3 and A5 blocs has taken place deliberately. Through a Facebook post, KEK says Moliqaj's claims do not stand and are slander. “

Through a Facebook post, KEK says Moliqaj's claims do not stand and are slander.

“In order to inform fair public opinion, KEK had long announced that these two units (A3 and A5) who were in operation at the time had fallen from the system as a result of problems caused on the network by factors outside KEK, in this regard, KEK had accepted official letter from System, Transmission and Kom Market Operator STT, dated 06.12.2021, where we were officially reported to have identified a technical problem in their part where after an explosion of the isolation of an insult that resulted in short connections to the stock system has come to the drop of two production units and that their teams had repaired the deterioration and the system was in a state of emergency for work. Thanks to the extraordinary commitment of KEK experts and employees to the two production units were back in operation in optimum time”, the report said.

The KEK emphasises that it has taken with concern Dardan Moliqaj's statements and warn legal actions against him. That's for reasons, as they say, in order to preserve corporate image.

“In conclusion, KEK has concerned these Z. Molly. That's why KEK would take all legal action on law enforcement to Mr. Moliqaj, with the aim of preventing these phenomena as well as preserving the image of the corporation and the dignity of its workers who with extraordinary dedication are performing their duties under these very challenging circumstances”, KEK reports.

Social Democrat Party Chairman Dardan Moliqaj has said they have information from sources within the Kosovo Energy Corporation (KEK), that the fall of A3 and A5 blocks has been made deliberately.

Molliqaj at a media conference has stated there are doubts that this breakdown is caused by KED.

“Based on our resources within KEK are developing three outstanding problems that burden the energy system further in Kosovo. The first has already happened. According to our sources 10 days ago there was a decline in the A3 and A5 Block, there was an increased lack of electricity. According to what we have information and are seeking investigation into responsible organs and field experts, the A3 and A5 Block collapses within the day seem to have been deliberate and caused by KED”, he said.

On the other hand, Moliqaj said they suspect that KEDS has taken the move in co-operation with the new KEK management and the Government of Kosovo.

But Moliqaj's statements were also denied by KED spokesman Viktor Buzhala, who said the ECDS legal office is taking over.

With his claims, our legal office is being taken. It's an absurd conspiracy. This issue will be clarified in the justice system”, Buzhala said today at a media conference.
Following Buzhala's statement, Moliqaj himself reacted to his Facebook profile.

According to him, Buzhala only adds suspicion over his statements that KED has influenced the fall of A3 and A5 blocs.

Mr. ” Buzhala just adds to the suspicion. Instead of the new KEK and KED management being transparent, it leaves room for investigation, as well as investigative justice bodies to start operating an hour ago, they have chosen the attack.”, Moliqaj wrote among others on Facebook.

We remember that the country has been facing reduced electricity for days. In many areas of the country reductions are lasting more than two hours.
