Rohde for visas: Kosovo has met conditions, but there are sceptical states

Germany's ambassador to Kosovo, Jorn Rohde, has spoken on the issue of visa liberalisation for Kosovo. Among other things, Rohde also talked about the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, where he said the two states should return to the dialogue table and find a compromise. He said Kosovo has met the conditions for visa liberalisation, [...]
He said Kosovo has met the conditions for visa liberalisation, but stressed that within the EU there is no unanimity on the issue.
The problem lies in some skeptical states. We, like the European Commission, know that Kosovo has met all the necessary criteria. It is good that the government is now involved with skeptical states and I think it will come. There are elections in several European states and I remain optimistic”, Ambassador Rohde said.
German diplomat secured support for the government Kurti, while stressing that the latter should take concrete steps on the issue of dialogue with Serbia and not only remain under the declarations.
I think Special Representative Lajcak is doing everything possible to mediate an agreement, and we urge both sides to sit at the table, try to find a compromise, because in the end, citizens want results. That's why this government was elected, for results, not” statements, German diplomat told Euronews Albania.
The German diplomat also commented on the newspaper "Open Balkanovina" initiative, which, according to him, is not comprehensive, so under these conditions he supports the Berlin Process.
The Berlin Process is inclusive. If so, I haven't seen this yet. I've seen that three countries don't participate and that's an open question. The bottom line is the Berlin Process is the inclusive process. Unfortunately, it has not yet produced much progress, even because of the conflict between Kosovo and Serbia, and we are hoping to overcome this”, the German ambassador said.
