Kosovo police in the last 24 hours have pronounced 235 fines against citizens who did not comply with the measures imposed by the government, through which protection and prevention of the virus's spread are aimed.
In order to prevent the spread of the virus, particularly the new Omitron version, the Kosovo government has taken new measures, which have entered into force Monday last week.
Under these measures, all persons over 12 will have to offer evidence of two doses of vaccine for travel by public and private transportation, as well as access to shopping centres and gastronomies.
Also, as of January 3rd, the evidence of full vaccine will be required to all travelers who enter the Republic of Kosovo.
Health Minister Rifat Latifi at a media conference has said these measures are taken following recommendations from health institutions and the world's epidemiological situation.
