Rama added that the Open Balkans is an initiative that is being made for the better of the economy, as removing borders facilitates movement of goods and increases exports.
“As far as the mechanism for the Open Balkans is concerned, we are open that we have started with framework agreements to life in the Berlin process. We have two agreements signed earlier with Kosovo and Montenegro for a ban on our borders. Even with Northern Macedonia, we are ready for the deal. The fact is that we live in a geography that we haven't chosen, in this geographic space that we live in, is that we have to do our best to increase production and exports. But the market is fragmented and does not help boost exports”, Rama said, among other things.
