Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has spoken about the US decision to impose sanctions on crime heads in the north, in charge of Zvonko Veselinovici, as responsible for the trafficking of goods, money, narcotics and weapons between Kosovo and Serbia.
The first of the Government has warned that the justice system in Kosovo will be taken with the American sanction.
“We have welcomed, it is a very welcome decision, which is showing that crime and corruption should have no place, not only in EU countries, but in any country that aspires to become an EU member like Kosovo. But what needs to be done next, and that's our job, that the justice system carefully conveys all the decisions of the United States of America that have abundant information so that they don't just have sanctions from the U.S., but that they are sanctioned, investigated, tried, condemned here and here at”, Kurti declared before the media.
Otherwise, on Wednesday the US Treasury Department's Office for Foreign Property Control has targeted 16 individuals from 24 businesses in several countries in Europe and the Northern Hemisphere, including Zvonko Veselinovic and his organised crime group as responsible for trafficking of goods, money, narcotics and arms between Kosovo and Serbia.
