Tadic said Veselinovic was active in criminal acts even during the time he was at the helm of the Serbian state, though he said he had been arrested and later released by the current Serbian government.

“We had enough information that he was involved in criminal activities, because after a decade we have a conviction for connection with Serbian authorities”, Tadic said in N1, adding that Americans investigate long and completely, but after the investigation is finished, he is safely closed and implementable before courts.

Asked whether US sanctions would affect Serbia's political leadership, Tadic said Veselinovic and Radovici are “without question political figures” and are behind the Serbian List in Kosovo.

He said those two met on yachts with Kosovo Albanian politicians, while in Serbia they participated in the main board of the ruling Serbian Progressive Party.
