It has indicated that for the first time in history a EU-funded recovery plan has been created to help each member state recover from the crisis and reform its economy, the BBC reports.
Europe has taken a new step forward in the past two years, developing its response to pandemic. For the first time in our history we have joined forces to produce and buy vaccines for all Europeans. Thanks to this choice today, we have all the doses needed to cope with the fourth wave of pandemic. And for the first time in history we have created a recovery plan, funded by the European Union, to help each member state recover from the crisis and reform its economy. We called him Next GenerationEU. With these two decisions we have already entered a new phase in the history of the Union”, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyeen said.
