The Democratic Party of Kosovo will not be in the hall to hear the annual address of President Osmani, scheduled to begin at 10:00. This is confirmed by PDK GP chief Abelard Tahiri, who has listed the reasons.
Tahiri said that, serving the government's political agenda and majority, president Osmani has failed to serve as representative of the unity of the people. Its current mandate has been marked by a number of violations and failures.
For the inability to exercise the constitutional function of popular unity and many other systematic failures, today's Parliamentary Group The PDK, will not stay in the hall to hear President Osmani” address, he wrote.
Tahiri listed nine violations or reasons for President Osmani:
1. President Osmani has used the instruments of the President's institution to carry out the purposes of power illegally and against constitutionally, as is the case with the dismissal of former CEC chairman Mrs. Valdete Daka, a scandal reflected in the EU Country Report
2. President Osmani has failed to read independently from the majority views he has chosen, reports, topics and political developments that are the interest of the state of Kosovo.
3. President Osmani has manifested a total inability to exercise constitutional role, with particular emphasis on the foreign policy agenda of the Republic of Kosovo.
4. During the so-called mandate, President Osmani has not been seen interested or committed to ensuring new recognitions for the Republic of Kosovo, as long as its former party at the helm of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has failed systematically to counter Serbia's offensive against our citizenship, as both have failed to consolidate diplomacy and representation of Kosovo in diplomatic relations.
5. President Osmani has failed to commit to Kosovo's membership in international mechanisms and organisations.
6. President Osmani has failed to build a foreign policy agenda within the framework of his constitutional competencies, and her visits abroad have been of a peripheral character, without content, without purpose and no result.
7. President Osmani has not undertaken any kind of initiative within his competencies as president, either on the inner level or on the outside.
8. President Osmani has failed to protect the media and free speech, even being protagonistic of attacks and attempts at violating media freedom.
9. President Osmani has legitimised the interventions of power in independent institutions and so far, there has never been a state opinion or position as President, on issues and topics that have characterised the degradation of governance at the expense of citizens.
