Opposition does not vote international agreements, sign protest of power

The opposition has voiced opposition to voting international agreements in the Kosovo Assembly. This is because they have expressed dissatisfaction with power, which they feel are not being well behaved. LDK's Arben Gashi has warned that not only today, but with lack of inter-communication agreements will continue further if the power behaves the same.

We as a group have considered these international agreements and, in principle, are not against these agreements, but since the ruling majority showed no co-operation and understanding with the opposition, the way you were brought here today and how you imposed the agenda we as a parliamentary group declare none of the international agreements today do. If you continue with this behavior we will continue not to participate in international agreements vote”, Gashi has said.

PDK Group chief Abelard Tahiri has said he cannot vote when the majority on the other side is not taking into account opposition demands.

“As GP we have called for parliamentary consensus despite differences. We've been in favour of the agreements, but since we have such a majority behavior when you're not taking into account our demands as an opposition party for a moment, then normally we don't have to tell you to co-operate with your community partners no majority, just like you did the votes to get some” points in order, Tahiri said.

And AAK GP chief Besnik Tahiri has said that in protest of power access, international agreements do not vote.

“We have been declared as GP that, in whatever circumstances, we support international agreements, but some problems are happening since we agree on certain issues when we come to the polls, issues are changing. We discussed as a group in protest as a sign of disagreement with this approach not to vote on these international agreements today”.
