Omitron can worsen the situation with the pandemic in Kosovo: The next two important weeks

Nine cases infected with the Omitron version of COVID-19, which is more transmitted than that Delta, have recently been identified in Kosovo.

With the presence of this version, infectionns in the country say epidemic situations have been charged.

Infectologist Hamdi Ramadani has told Express that in the next two weeks, it will be seen how this version will manifest itself and if the situation deteriorates.

Ramadani has said the first two doses of anti vaccine - CO VID is not so effective with this version.

So he has declared that actions must be taken for citizens to take the third dose.

“has proven that the doses of the vaccine have not provided protection, in this sense the third dose of O Omilron-19. Right now we have very small percentages of citizens with third doses, but it should be all that it's possible for citizens to run and take third doses, especially certain age groups, those over 65, health workers, chronically ill patients”, he said.

In turn, he has indicated that if citizens are to observe anti measures precisely - CO VID and will be vaccinated with the third dose of vaccine, the state of the pandemic and the Omitron variant will be managed.

“Omitron has raised global concerns. The third dose of vaccine at the world level is designed to combat Omicron COVID-19. For now the measures are in the context of the situation, and the next few days remain to see the epidemiological situation. The measures should be respected, and I think that our country can pass with less sick infection than Omitron is present. With proper measures and the responsibility of citizens, we can manage to get through the best situation”, he added.

While infected with the infection and deputy from the AAK's ranks, Shemsedin Dresaj has told the newspaper that the Omitron variant is considered a relatively dangerous option.

He has indicated that he believes the new wave of Omitron variant will be easier and manageable.

“The Omitron variable is considered relatively dangerous based on the fact that it's very close. I believe the new wave will be softer than the Delta wave, so we are confident that Kosovo will be the place to successfully manage the Omitron” variant, he added.

The health ministry's spokesperson for information has told Express that Kosovo is recording a small number of infected cases, so this too testifies to the situation in which it is the pandemic.

From this ministry, the minister has said that relevant institutions track contact of persons infected with COVID-19, even of those who came from abroad, a part of which have resulted positive with the Omitron version.

“What the current situation is, this shows the daily reports of COVID-19 cases and the situation in hospitals, where there is a small number of cases at present with COVID-19”, have been said by this minister.

Despite identifying the Omitron variant in the country, MSH Information spokesperson has shown that they have not yet received any recommendation for the severity of the measures.

“Are currently in effect a series of measures that need to be implemented to be precise and continue full inoculation, while depending on the aspects that were highlighted above, the Commission recommends whether the measures in force are sufficient, or something should be changed, whether in terms of their tribulation or their release. So every change of measures is related to their implementation and vaccination”, is said by this minister.

As for the presence of option Omitron in Kosovo, the director of the Infectious Clinic at QKUK has told the newspaper that during tomorrow they will speak before the media.

Otherwise, he has shown that 4 patients, 3 of them positive with COVID, have been extended to this clinic today.

Three of his patients were infected with two doses of Pfizer vaccine.

We remember that the Omitron version of COVID-19 is believed to be more infectious than preliminary variants and that vaccines are less effective against it.

However, this version is estimated to be no more serious than that Delta.
