NATO military chief Admiral Rob Bauer, General Todd D. Walters and the Supreme Allied Commander for Europe (SACEUR) met at”Fim City” in Pristina, KFOR Commander, Major General Ferenc Kayari.
During this meeting, the three have discussed the latest developments in the current security situation in Kosovo and the Western Balkan region and KFOR's support in efforts against Ovid-19.
According to them, NATO remains committed to ensuring stability in the Balkans by maintaining a flexible and preventive presence as long as necessary.
It is always reassuring to prove the commitment of men and women who work hard in KFOR. Their contribution to a safe and secure environment has been extraordinary for the past twenty-two years, General Wolters said.
While Admiral Bauer has spoken of the great importance KFOR mission has in this area, Klankosova.tv reports.
NATO's “KFOR mission has a fundamental role as a stabilising force in the Western Balkans. Men and women serving here are a safety pillar for the local population. Speaking to them today made me extremely proud”, he expressed himself.
In conclusion, the mission of this alliance is to contribute to a safe environment and freedom of movement as mandated by UN Security Council Resolution 1244.
