A day after Sali Berisha gathered the Parliament, the National Council considers Berisha's movement as an antistate and was an attempt to delegate the Democratic Party institutions until its dissolution as the most pro-Western force in the country.
The resolution reportedly calls for this rally, with the claim that it is gathering a Democratic Party coalition and the so-called <x0m> Makeover” violates all DP Statut norms that regulate its functioning and decision-making as a political institution.
Democratic Party Chairman Lulzim Basha has stated at today's meeting that it has been his first vow as head of this political force that will never have exceptions proposed by him and that he does not hold people by force.
It is learned that Basha has declared at the National Council meeting that the measures taken last night by the leadership and proposed measures today are not the exclusion measure, but the dismissal of the functions. That, according to him, is due to flagrant violation of the statute, resulting in consequences for the DP.
“has been my first vow as chairman The DP will never have a proposed exception from me. You and I don't keep men by force. So the measures taken last night by the leadership and the proposed measures today are not the exclusion measure, but the dismissal of the posts due to the flagrant violation of the statute with consequences for the DP. It's unprecedented to attack and pressure the Democrats. There is pressure and threat from former senior officials or officials threatening members of the National Council to be part of the meeting. It is not acceptable to close our eyes. I refuse this and reject any of us “, is expressed before the Democrats.
Adopted resolution of the National Council of the Democratic Party:
The National Council of the Democratic Party gathered today on 12 December 2021 in fulfillment of its political and statuteic responsibilities, as the Democratic Party's highest body between the two countries,
-Concerned on the disturbing situation created by Mr. Sali Berisha's movement after his suspension by the Parliamentary Group and his summary rally of December 11th;
It confirmed that calling this rally with the claim that it was gathering a Democratic Party Convention and the so-called <x0m>rima” violates all DP Statut norms that regulate its functioning and decision-making as a political institution;
They saw that the gathering forged and used the symbols and logos of the Democratic Party in flagrant breach of statute and legal norms;
-Imagines that the “Berisha” movement and yesterday's gathering as its finalisation are an attempt to delegate the institutions of the Democratic Party to its deregulation as the most pro-Western force in the country, aimed at turning it into a bunker for protecting Sali Berisha's personal interests in front of the US.
- It suggests that any so-called position or decision of this gathering is invalid and has no political and legal value for the Democratic Party.
It confirms that the National Assembly of December 18th is the only legitimate and comprehensive Assembly of Democrats, where it will be discussed, discussed and democraticly established for deepening domestic democracy and strengthening the DP in the face of the challenges of time.
It considers that by instrumentalizing some of the Democratic Party's internal problems, genuine concerns and sensibilities of many Democrats after the April 25th election massacre, as well as by mobilizing and rounding around themselves a group of agenda organisers and personal interests of the past and today, the “Berisha” movement to blackmail the United States, as Sali Berisha stated in his own word, yesterday laid the foundations of an anti-American inspired political organisation that with the DP alone will never have any connections. This is the first anti-American movement in the history of three decades of democratic system and the second in Albania's history after Enver Hoxha.
The Democratic Party strongly distances itself and condemns such movements that conflict with its identities, the interests of the Democrats and all Albanians, with the strategic vital relations of Albania and the Albanian Nation with the US.
The National Council appeals to the Democrats who were at the December 11th rally to their legitimate concerns, which have nothing to do with Sali Berisha's agenda and personal interests, to reflect and remain united with most Democrats about the Democratic Party's history and sacred values.
The National Council considers the fight against corruption and impunity in the higher spheres as a key element for establishing the rule of law, maintaining free and fair elections, Albania's EU integration, protecting human dignity, the development and welfare of Albanian families. A US anti-corruption deployment as a priority of its policy and the use of sanctions against officials and former corrupt officials in Albania has been and is a crucial factor in the collapse of current and multi-year rule of corruption and lawlessness in the country
- National Council expresses the appreciation and full support for the establishment at a new and closer level of the Democratic Party's co-operation relationship with the US party chairman.
- The National Council supports all activity and decision-making of Chairman, Headship and Parliamentary Group for the protection of the Democratic Party's interest and its values, such as the opposition and the only alternative to the removal of the Edi Rama regime and the return of the Democrats as the ruling force. /tch
