Top 10 names most used for children in 2020

Named Ayla, 335 girls born during 2020 were baptized, and Ayan received 305 sons.

This has been disclosed by the statistics the Kosovo Statistics Agency has published today.

AKS today has published annual data on births, deaths, crowns, divorces, names, and so on.

In 2020 there were 28 thousand and 674 registered births (both within and outside Kosovo). Of these registered births, 21 thousand and 907 took place within Kosovo's territory, of which 11 thousand and 340 were males or 51.8 per cent, and 10 thousand and 567 were female or 48.2 per cent.

A total of 14 thousand and 514 cases of death (both within and outside Kosovo) were recorded in 2020. Of them, 12,000 and 987 deaths have occurred in Kosovo, of which 7 thousand and 222 or 55.6 percent of the cases were men and 5 thousand and 765 or 44.4 percent of the cases were women.
