August announces draft law guarantees the institutional independence of AKA

This bill guarantees the institutional and financial independence of the AKA in the field of accreditation and privilege of institutions of higher education and their academic programmes. The bill is in full harmony with European standards and procedures (ESG) and, as such, guarantees quality in higher education, stimulates exchanges of students and academic staff, affects the internationalisation of higher education, transfer of technology and knowledge, and create preconditions for the education system with the labour market”, the Ministry of Education said.

According to August, with the decision to approve the AKA Bill returned to ENQA and ENAR.

With this decision we go towards finalising all criteria and recommendations for returning the AKA to the European Association for Quality Security in Higher Education (ENQA) and registration of the European Quality Growth Register at Higher Education (EQAR). With this law also, any political interference, interventions that in the past seriously affected the education system in Kosovo. It is expected that the same will be approved in the Parliament within the pre-ex3>, said further.
