Molliqaj at a media conference has stated there are doubts that this breakdown is caused by KED.
“Based on our resources within KEK are developing three outstanding problems that burden the energy system further in Kosovo. The first has already happened. According to our sources 10 days ago there was a decline in the A3 and A5 Block, there was an increased lack of electricity. According to what we have information and are seeking investigation into responsible organs and field experts, the A3 and A5 Block collapses within the day seem to have been deliberate and caused by KED”, he said.
Furthermore, Moliqaj said they suspect the KEDS has made the move in co-operation with the new KEK management and the Government of Kosovo.
That, according to him, has happened in order to damage KEK's reputation.
“In the absence of power discharge and returns of electricity from KEDS to thermo-elect A3 and A5 has caused deliberate damage. We suspect that if proven to have been such an act, given that we have information, it's easy if there were to be investigations, that's what it meant. KEDS in co-operation with both Government and new management to damage the reputation of the KEK public company, and to say that lack of energy is caused by lack of production and problems at KEK”, he said.
He has requested immediate investigation into the case.
“We seek immediate investigation by competent organs, request report from the KED and KEK management for this, and require expert commitment to combat such a” phenomenon, Moliqaj said.
Moliqaj has also mentioned giving off 10 production engineers in KEK after the event.
The next negative development in Kosova Aʹ is that for the first time, the management has imposed a forced suspension of over 10 leading production engineers after this event. If management is under investigation, we want to be informed as citizens of Kosovo, but if this forced holiday has never occurred in this institution, it is to eliminate, control or sabotage the public company, we request immediate accounts and explanations from KEK”
Alarmingly, he has also considered failing to renew contracts for rescue materials at KEK.
He said that from coming to Government Prime Minister Albin Kurti, no contract has been renewed.
What is alarming at the threshold of the new risk since February when the Kurti II Government was established, no contract for rescue materials at KEK has been renovated. There's been a shortage of acid in Block A for four days. A necessary and extremely important element for the labour disposal of this company”, he has said.
