Minister Aliu thus reasons for the tender given to Radules, Radojciqi associate

Infrastructure Minister Lieburn Aliu has said that the dictatorship he leads is seriously handling the tender issue that MI Procuring Office has given to the company. RAD D.O.O., owned by Radule Stevic, sponsored yesterday by the United States of America, as a member of the organised crime group, of [...]
Aliu at a media conference said Stevic's company had no longer been to “black players”. This, he said, has enabled the company associated with the Serbian List deputy chairman Milan Radojic to win the tender.
We're dealing with this case after the news we've received. This company received tenders earlier. He was never on a black list. So legally for not letting me out of taking the tender to this company, there was no way because they didn't figure out that black list of irresponsible companies. Now, what it's going to be like and what will be done with this contract, we're looking at the legal possibilities it is. We're taking this matter very seriously”, Aliu said.
He estimated that the decision to sanction these persons greatly helps Kosovo, while he wished that space would be found to annul this contract.
In harmony with that decision, we will be very responsible and treat it with the utmost seriousness. And I hope that as soon as we find legal space to stop this contract, Ali said.
Asked about the real possibilities of the dispute, Aliu said these are legal issues and that those dealing with the law within the ministry should give the best options.
The Ministry of Infrastructure in July had awarded tenders of nearly 600 thousand euros to a group of economic operators, including the company on behalf of Radule Stevick.
P.T.P. “RAD” i n “RAD” D.O. OTwo companies that are registered in the Kosovo Business Record Agency on behalf of Steviki have won tenders from Kosovo institutions for several projects such as infrastructure in municipalities in the country's north, tenders for building social residences, nests, school renovations, supply of IT equipment, supply of construction materials, furniture to the production of traffic equipment and signaling.
Zvonko Veselinovic from Zvecani, known in Kosovo and Serbia as head of organised crime in the northern part of Kosovo, has been sanctioned yesterday by the United States, along with his criminal group, including Serbian List subs, Milan Radojic, and Radule Stevic.
The US Treasury Department's Office for Foreign Riches Control has found and showed that Veselinovic is one of the most notorious corruption figures in Kosovo. In the communiqué of this office, his criminal group reportedly conspired (has made secret plans) with various politicians in several agreements in early 2019, including a large scale of bribery with Kosovo and Serbian security officials.
President Vjosa Osmani and Prime Minister Albin Kurti have reacted after this decision to welcome sanctions against Zvonko Veselinovici and his associates in the criminal group.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, announcing the decision, said these sanctions target corruption authors.
“In line with the goals of this week's Summit for Democracy, the United States is currently imposing sanctions on 16 individuals and 24 subjects from several countries in Europe and the Western Hemisphere. These sanctions target corruption authors in line with the Executive Order 13818, which is based and implements the Global Court of Accountability for Human Rights Magnitsky”, Blinken has said in a statement issued by the State Department.
The American top diplomat is now saying that the US will exploit all means to break ties between criminal activity and the corruption of these criminal organisations.
“We will continue to use all available means to break ties between criminal activity and corruption. Today's actions, with the definitions of the Treasury Department for corrupt acts linked to transnational criminal organisations in El Salvador, Kosovo and Serbia, are part of our efforts by the entire government to break these ties and promote accountability for corrupt acts”, Blinken has said.
