Speaking on the issue at the Kosovo government's next meeting, the prime minister expressed the following:
We have so far managed to avoid the effects of this crisis thanks to local power generation capacities. However, prolonging the crisis situation and increasing consumption especially during the winter months outweighs local capacities and the financial opportunities the energy sector has to continue facing this crisis. Due to high import prices, there is a deterioration of the liquidity situation in this sector, and large import price distribution at the price of supply is also unstable unless measures are taken. ”
He has called on the responsible ministers to take the necessary measures and actions to ensure stability and electricity supply.
