Colonel Sefer Isufi, chief of strategic communication at the Ministry of Defence in an interview for the Insadeder Gazette, said they are working infrastructure projects related to the establishment of capacities in the arms and ammunition defence system.
“Armaments and ammunition defence systems will be focused on fulfilling the capabilities and operational capacity of our nationality regiments. Then the focus will be on supporting the military regiment and supporting the service” Colonel Isufi said.
According to him, this amount will serve exclusively for the realisation of targets for the second phase of transition.
“Lajm for the 100m-euro budget sharing has been good news. With this budget we have the comfort of achieving all of our goals in 2022. This budget will be exclusively in realising the goals of the second phase of transition”, Isufi said.
But how much money was earmarked over the years for the Kosovo Security Force?
If we receive Kosovo's consolidation budgets on the official page of the Ministry of Finance, we get small figures compared to 2022.
Before becoming an official army, with the change of three laws in the Kosovo Assembly on December 14, 2018, the Ministry of Kosovo Security Force for 2017 had 51,035,617 euros in budgets. Of them, exclusively for KSF was 47,638,627.

In 2019 again, there is a slight increase in funds that the total budget of the ministry that only had military duty, making it 58,688,060 euros. Of them only for the KSF directly amounted to 54,574,838 euros.
The year 2020 marks a budget increase of nearly 11m euros, sending it to 69,275,842 euros. Directly for the army and soldiers went 65,165,095 euros.
For the current year, 2021, the budget was 67,317,674 euros, slightly lower than the previous year. It all had to effect the reverse year of COVID-19. This year's budget that went directly to soldiers is 63,124,266 euros.
In the 2022 budget, however, we have 100m euros planned, marking the largest establishment for the ministry and the military.
