Kosovo returns to Serbia, MPJD doesn't approve of Petkov's request to visit

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed that they have rejected Serbian chief negotiator Petar Petkovic's request to visit the Republic of Kosovo on 2 December and 3 December. This decision of Kosovo institutions comes just days after Serbia did not allow four Kosovo ministers to visit the Presevo Valley on the November 28th. [...]

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Republic of Kosovo in an answer to the Journal Express has confirmed that they have not approved the request for a visit to Kosovo.

“MPJD has not approved Serbian official Petar Petkov's request to visit Kosovo on December 2-3th, December 2021”, the MPJ response reported.

Petkov has been announced today by the border checkpoint in Merdare, saying he has been barred from entering the territory of the Republic of Kosovo.

“I have announced the visit to agreement with the agreement, but Pristina is violating all agreements again. The idea of my visit was to visit the students of the Theological Seminary in Prizren, visit the returnees to the village of Novake, as well as talk to our people in northern Kosovo”, he has said.

On November 27th, Serbia has rejected a visiting request in the Presevo Valley of four government ministers Kurti, who wanted to visit Albanians there in honour of the November 28th national holiday.

Kosovo's infrastructure minister, Liburn Aliu, had announced that Serbia has rejected the request to visit Medvedja, Bujanoc and Presevo.

Ali himself had announced the ban Serbia had made on visiting the Valley.

He wrote through a Facebook post that, along with Arberie Nagavcin, Iron Mqira and Hajrullah Ceku, planned to start a two-day visit to the Presevo Valley.
