KMDLNj's response reportedly S.L. He was admitted to prison on January 25, 2009, and has since suffered a head tumor.
“Since admission to prison, it has been diagnosed with head tumors, which have been removed during the prison's detention, unoginal, cardiovascular, neurological, etc. It has been repeatedly treated in the prison station and Pec Hospital and KKUK, as needed. Recently, there have been complications as a result of tumor metastases that have been expressed by ascetics (lag in abdomin), and retentio urinae, as well as other complications, which have made it difficult for the medical staff of the stationer, in the course of”, said in the response of KMDLNj.
According to the KMDLNj, detention procedures have been under way during this time.
KMDLNj says there have been constant demands that the 71-year-olds be suspended sentence, which says there has been an apology from the president, but none of the demands have been realised.
As a consequence, it has been extended to SP in Pec for the last two weeks under the continued care of this institution. At this time, proceedings have been under way to suspend the sentence, required by medical staff and Dubrava Prison Director. It's been a constant request to stop knowing about health causes. There has been a request for forgiveness from the president, but all of this has not been realised”, KMDLNj says.
KMDLNj says that in such cases when prisoners are terminally ill, the penalty of punishment must be interrupted.
“Praising the commitment of healthcare personnel to Dubrava Prison, The KMDLNj reiterates the request that prisoners with tertiary diagnosis, terminally ill, have to be stopped suffering punishment or that medical treatment provided by the family is provided if they have material access or are willing to take care of it. It is not the first case and will not be the last that prisoners, without any hope of recovery are held in prison, where they die and that responsibility is addressed unjustly, the Kosovo Correscription Service and the Prison Health Service. Cutting off the sentence for health and age causes should be subjected only to cases that because of the nature of the work cannot be released but that it is considered a temporary solution. Lacking legal grounds for this, KMDLNj will support any initiative for changing the Law that allows this end of sentence due to health or age”, the KMDLNj response said.
