Paul Murage Newki reportedly killed his wife and children using an axe Monday on November 29th, according to police commander Anthony Mbogo, who confirmed the incident.

The five victims of the alarming crime have been identified as Millicent Muthon, 38, Nelly Wawira, 13, the seven-year-old Gifton Bundy, the five-year-old Shembi and Clayton Newk.

After the massacre of his entire family, Mbogo explains that Newki surrendered to the Kianyaga police station, with a request to be arrested and imprisoned for six months.

I was shocked and ordered my officers to investigate. He shocked my officers by saying he had killed their wife and four children”, Mbogo said.

He hit them with a sharp thing before he waited. He took us to where he said he had hidden the axe, but we found nothing of the heavy rainfall. We are still making investigations”, Mbogo said.

All the bodies had severe stab wounds in their head when they were found on their beds by the police who visited the scene about 10:30 Monday evening. Newki also allegedly raped his eldest daughter before taking his life. It is believed that he later hid the killer ax along the banks of the river in his neighborhood.

No clear reason has been given why Newki killed his family, according to Mbogo. However, according to village residents, they heard a row over the absence of onions at family dinner, writes the Dailystar, broadcast Clankosova.tv.
