KEK Director: B2 block unit “Kosovo B” is expected to return to function before January 20th

KEK Director Nagip Krasniqi at a media conference together with Artan Economy Minister Rizvanolli said the bloc's second unit, Kosovo B, is not expected to return to office by January 20th.

Kosovo B2's “continues to be out of place because of the decline from December 14th, and we are in the process of turning it into surgery as soon as possible but the destruction in the turbine is the most serious nature. We're in contact with the company that produces the turbine and we expect to send their expert to KEK on Sunday and we'll start with the inspection of the situation and see what the damage situation is, and it will show the time and time for the unit's return to work. There is a preliminary assessment that we expect sometime in January 20th, B2, to be turned into operation”, Krasniqi said.

He said that import of electricity is very expensive in this period and are importing it with the means the government has shared.

We don't have a problem with coal production.
