Iran appears to be preparing for a space launch, according to satellite images

Iran appears to be preparing for a start in space as negotiations continue in Vienna on its broken nuclear agreement with world powers, according to one expert and satellite images. Possible explosion in Iran's space port “Imam Khomeini” comes after Iranian state media have offered a list of planned satellite concessions in the function of the Islamic Republic civilian space programme, which is surrounded by a series of failed concessions. Iran's paramilitary Revolutionary Guard conducts its parallel programme that successfully established a satellite in orbit last year.
The launching of a launch in the middle of Vienna's talks fits the hardline position hit by Tehran's negotiators, who already describes the previous six rounds of diplomacy as a <x0draft” that irritates Western countries.
Iranian state media declined to accept activity in the space port, and Iran's mission to the United Nations did not respond to a demand for comment. The U.S. Army, which tracks space concessions, also failed to respond to the requests for comment.
Satellite images taken Saturday by Planet Labs Inc. Show activity at the cosmic port in the desert plains of Iran's Samnan, about 150 kilometers southeast of Tehran.
A support vehicle stood parked near a massive port that usually houses a rocket on the launch platform. This support tool has appeared in other satellite photos in the country, shortly before departure. Also visible is a plumbing crane with a rail platform, also seen prior to previous concessions and is likely to be used for missile service.
Other satellite images in the last few days at the cosmic port have shown an increase in the number of cars in the object, another sign of increased activity that usually precedes a departure.
