IK The KPS again issues on citizen appeal: The situation could get worse

According to ICHPK, the epidemiological situation may deteriorate in the event of new cases of virus growth.

IK The KPS is continuing to follow the epidemiological situation in the country, the region and the world.

The epidemiology situation in Kosovo is currently stable, but in the region, Europe and the world has been burdened in recent weeks with showing the new version of the SARS virus The CoV-2 Omitron (B.1.1.529), which has already been reported in many countries of the world and risks spreading this version even in the Republic of Kosovo, taking into account the holiday season and the arrival of a large number of citizens from the increased number of states.

We're going on and on with tracking all the cases, community case contacts and laboratory diagnosis.

The epidemiological situation could deteriorate in the event of new cases, so I The KSHPK appeals to all citizens to celebrate together by respecting the measures under government decisions of the Republic of Kosovo.

Because of the high risk of spreading COVID-19, we call in particular for caution and non-gathering. While, we recommend responsible institutions to carefully monitor and take all necessary actions to implement measures to prevent and combat pandemic.

Further care is essential for all to strictly respect physical distance, use masks, become disinfectant and ventilation of spaces, unable and avoid further eventual spread of COVID-19 infection.

Since vaccination is the best and safest way to prevent COVID-19, especially serious forms of disease and death, we continue to strongly appeal for the most extensive, wideer, and fastest population inoculation. From last week, the Ministry of Health has begun vaccinating with the responsibilities of the dosage and the third dose that all citizens over 18.

Strengthening doses are given to people who took two doses of the vaccine against COVID-19, but in time their immunity comes down. The reinforcement dose is given six months after taking the second dose.

The third dose is given to people who have taken two doses of vaccine against COVID-19, but on which inadequate immunity has not developed as a result of their poor immunity or associated diseases with the recommendation of the ordinative doctor. The third dose is given no less than 8 weeks and is not given six months from taking the second dose.

By vaccinating yourself, you protect yourself, protect people around you, primarily your family.

Vaccination remains the strongest weapon to prevent hospitalisation.

All indiscriminately and necessarily we should continue to implement precautions against COVID-19 and health professionals' recommendations!
