Bekim Callaku has managed to defeat his husband, after which he attempted to take his knife. This eventually succeeded with the help of witnesses and police.

For this act of humanity he has also been praised by the “Carnegie” fund for heroism, being rewarded with a medal and 20,000 crowns for heroism shown.
